We moved from Ireland to Texas, then when Cromwell invaded Ireland in 1649 – I went back to fight the Commonwealth of England’s Army of Occupation. After I joined up in the Dutch Navy to fight Cromwell’s forces in the 1st Anglo-Dutch War.
